VISIBLE DEAD

In the shadowed streets of Cincinnati, where history lingers in brick alleys and river fog, a new kind of terror begins to unfold-one that feels eerily familiar. Claire Whitmore is a quiet, meticulous librarian working in the main branch of the Cincinnati Public Library downtown.. By day, she works in the reference section helping patrons and studies the forgotten past. By night, she hunts. Her victims are women living on the margins-prostitutes who move unseen through the same dim corridors of the city that Claire knows all too well. Each murder is precise, ritualistic, and chillingly reminiscent of a figure long buried in legend: Jack the Ripper. When detectives begin to connect the crimes, what unsettles them most isn't just the brutality-it's the signature. The patterns mirror the infamous killings of 1888 with impossible accuracy. As forensic evidence is processed, the case takes a darker turn: DNA recovered from the crime scenes reveals a genetic match to preserved samples believed to belong to Jack the Ripper himself. As the city spirals into fear, Claire remains invisible-soft-spoken, intelligent, and deeply embedded in the very system investigating the murders. But beneath her calm exterior lies a chilling obsession with lineage, legacy, and the idea that evil can be inherited. Whether she is the descendant of a monster or something far more unnatural, one thing becomes clear: The Ripper is no longer just history. He has evolved-and this time, he's wearing a new face.
