A Forgotten Kingdom...

A Murderer Hiding in the Shadows...

And Ancient Enemy Stirs...

Hunter returns home to attend the funeral of the woman who raised him. Before he can leave, he is arrested for killing the King of Crows. To be free of Faedon, he must track down the true killer and return the Thief's Coin to the House of Crow.

A retelling that includes a new twist on old favorite characters such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Red Riding Hood, Robin Hood, and so much more. Expect to find dragons, fanciful elves, witches and much more.

This standalone novel is the second book in the Tales of Darkwell series. Great for fans of murder mysteries and fairy tale retellings.

Someone in Hollywood needs to buy it and read and then make it into a movie

Really like this book -- it was easy to jump into and the characters are easy to picture as the descriptions and forest references jump off the page. I am not usually a fantasy reader but mixing the genre with a mystery makes for an extremely intriguing read.

 Fantastic story!

What a wonderful twist on well beloved fairytale characters. Kal Locksley knocked this one out of the park.

 Fantastic pace and prose!

This is a really well done book! There is a classic hero's journey, but the plot is not formulaic at all. The "whodunit" aspect of this novel is fun and keeps the reader guessing. The world-building is present and we'll done without bogging the reader down in details that would slow the pace.

Which brings me to the best part of the novel - the pace accelerates as you go. Starts out at a good tempo while everything ia being established ... n mean feat. But where many stories bog down and slow with subplots to nowhere - this one does not. It accelerates.

Highly recommend. Even if you are not a fantasy nut - you'll like this book!
