What if the Universe's greatest secret lies in the vacuum? What if matter and motion were one and the same? And what if any body in space accelerates on its own - without any external force?
The Universal Cortex Theory begins with a single radical hypothesis: the vacuum is a substance composed of two opposite essences - the Positive Essence (S+), of infinite and four-dimensional nature, and the Negative Essence (S-), of finite and three-dimensional nature. From this single premise, Henri Cosi constructs, across more than 500 pages of rigorous deductive reasoning, a coherent theoretical system encompassing everything from the origin of the Universe to the most baffling phenomena of particle physics.
The title evokes the central analogy of the work: just as the cerebral cortex is the physical manifestation of something immeasurable (the mind), the finite Universe is the "cortex" of Infinite existence. The Negative Space (S-) functions as this universal shell, from which all matter, light, and force fields emerge.
The central paradigms developed and defended in this work:
Vacuum as substance - It is not the "luminiferous ether", but a dynamic neutrality of two dimensionally distinct essences (S+ and S-). From this structure, light and matter emerge through detachment.
Light as vacuum detachment - A photon is the simultaneous release of S- (three-dimensional) and S+ (four-dimensional), with an essentially spherical propagation. The vacuum's resistance to negative detachment explains cosmological redshift without requiring cosmic expansion, since light loses energy.
Matter and Motion as opposite poles - S- is matter; S+ is motion. Within any massive object, one continuously transforms into the other - just as ice and steam share water as their common essence.
Inertial Acceleration - The most audacious paradigm of this work. Any material body, after receiving an initial impulse, continues to accelerate spontaneously through space, without external force, through the continuous transformation of matter (S-) into motion (S+). This single paradigm offers a direct explanation for: dark energy and dark matter, anomalous galaxy rotations, the continuous beta-decay spectrum, and the "incoherently" high kinetic energy of cosmic rays.
Gravity explained (not merely described) - The distortion of the vacuum by the presence of mass is mechanically explained as the result of the essential link between the detached S- (matter) and the still-neutralized S- in the surrounding vacuum. A complement to General Relativity that goes beyond geometry.
Origin of the Universe and the Atom - The Universe did not arise from nothing, but from the spontaneous, multiple manifestation of Negative Essence within the pre-existing Infinite Positive Essence. Primordial supermassive black holes ruptured the vacuum's resistance and gave rise to the first particles.
Quantum entanglement without magic - The fraction of matter immersed in the infinite essence (S+) is not subject to the rules of locality or time - which explains entanglement in a mechanically comprehensible way, without wave function collapse or mystical duality.
Written in accessible language, with abundant illustrations and step-by-step reasoning, this work is not a reformulation of an old paradigm - it is the construction of a new one, from scratch, grounded in deeper premises. As Thomas Kuhn wrote: "The transition must occur suddenly, or else it never happens"
This work is intended for theoretical physicists, cosmologists, astrophysicists, and any scientist willing to question its foundations. It is also aimed at mathematicians willing to translate the theory into verifiable fundamental equations.
