Ticket To Paradise

Art Garcia was all set to collect millions when a mudslide ruined everything. His sister Angela, safely dead, was found buried in the mud, not in her house as he planned. Now he finds himself a person of interest in her death, and the cops have discovered a secret only he and his sister shared.

Veteran Detective Ron Jackson and his ambitious partner, Mary Ann McDonald, are searching for Angela's killer. They can find no motive for anyone to want to kill her, until they discover that eight children, supposedly in Angela's care as an employee of Child Services, have vanished without a trace.

Each new piece of evidence leads them nowhere. Suspects die. A powerful politician, who may be to blame for the children's disappearance, questions the detective's competence, while keeping the missing children a secret. The police chief is up for reelection and needs the case solved before it blows up in his face. To save their careers, the detectives must find Art, the only one left alive who knows what happened to his sister and the missing children.
