THIS OLD DOG

A true story of a couple and their very interesting lives with two really neat Dogs and a lot of interesting nature and outdoors experiences in a small town in southern Virginia . The writing style is smooth and easy to understand and comes with nice, animated explanations and creates some positive mental pictures of the wonderful world we live in and all of the interesting animals where they live. While on a pleasant walk down an old country road in, an older couple along with their two dogs are surprised and saddened by what they find. a canopy of trees in a damp and dirty fenced in enclosure staring right at them with eyes that are very sad stood a big brown furry Dog . Having spent practically her entire lifetime of 14 years confined to this filthy , damp and dark space , she has all but given up on life . When they discover her , the man decides to do everything in his power to obtain this poor Old Dog from the owners in order to give her something that she has never known before it's too late .Freedom ,respect , love happiness and a bath , along with a new family that dedicates their time to doing something so important to them with the help of their two very special and understanding Dogs . 14 years of confinement has just about destroyed the little remaining spirit of this Dog named Maya who had stopped wagging her tail as a showing of happiness years ago .Will she learn what freedom and friendship are before it's too late and will the love and diligence of this couple and their Dogs pay off and give Maya a sense of peace in her soul that she has been wishing for her entire life .
