But all is not right at home; the village has suffered a series of vicious robberies and Ben's granny is acting strangely...like she's hiding something. But it isn't until Ben learns that Daniel Cutter - Hornsey's most feared thief - has been released from prison, that he discovers his grandmother is hiding someone...Cutter himself.

When his granny's house is ransacked by a ruthless stranger searching for Cutter, Ben is drawn into a manhunt for a merciless criminal who will stop at nothing until he finds a mysterious treasure concealed somewhere in the village - a treasure to which only Cutter knows the whereabouts.

Readers will be gripped by this thrilling mystery, riddled with cunning clues and hidden secrets, set in the colourful and exhilarating world of Tudor England.
