Many people are beginning to have grave concerns about what is happening today because highly unusual events have been occurring worldwide at record speed, giving rise to heightened awareness and deep concerns. Phrases like 'What'shappening in the World today', I don't much like this World anymore', and even 'The World seems to have gone mad!' can be heard from some people chatting together in coffee shops and elsewhere that suggest the public at large is, not surprisingly, feeling very insecure. But history reveals that the World has always experienced primary long-term significant changes that have unnerved Society. Hence, perhaps a more appropriate question should be, what is it specifically about our times that might give rise to so much concern today?
Undoubtedly, the World's systems, which people have taken for granted for decades, are changing very rapidly, causing people to sense things are out of control. What do I mean by 'Systems'? I hear you ask. I'll come to that shortly. The problem is that because so many 'Systems' are changing simultaneously, the sense of instability created is quite natural and more than understandable. But is it sensible to look at the worst-case scenario as so many are, or are there reasons why events might give this impression whilst merely going through what many call long-term cycles of change' that will eventually settle down again? Or is something more profound occurring that people are right to sense and be anxious about?
Those optimists amongst us will no doubt suggest that whilst there is cause for temporary anxiety caused by this instability, there is no need to be alarmed because, as they opine, all will be fine again in due course as long as we are patient and wait for 'normality' (whatever that is) to return. However, pessimists veer towards a more 'doom and gloom' outlook. The question is, do they have legitimate reasons for holding such views? After all, people tend to notice the effects of significant changes without necessarily understanding or appreciating the reason for them.
This book, therefore, intends to present the facts about the most significant changes occurring in light of what is known to be happening across the entire World. To avoid conspiratorial accusations, the series endeavours to keep to known facts. But readers should appreciate that the word conspiratorial is more often than not used by those trying to prevent people from recognising the truth and is frequently used to distract people from what is purposely being hidden. However, there is no doubt that the speed of the change taking place and the likely significance should most certainly give rise to deep concern for the future, as are the reasons suggested for such changes.
