The Wand...Lost more than three hundred years ago in the heat of battle. Found in Beldor just as the vast armies of the Skythian Empire are massing at Beldor's border, about to invade.
The Wand...With its fatal flaw. Only a Grand Magi can wield it and defeat the Skythians. All others, it kills. Grand Magis are rare, yet Beldor has such a Magi: the aged, reclusive Grand Magi Keltis ensconced in his fortress Ironwalls near Dragon's Mouth in the forbidding Sky Mountains.
The Wand...Where is it when our story begins? In Beldor, in the sleepy town of Bridgewater, in the untried hands of Nate Rutledge, a common shopkeeper who, much against his will, has been charged with bringing the Wand to Keltis, a thousand desolate miles away.
So Nate begins his perilous journey, joined by his friends Cart and Gris, and Nate's High Magi protectors, Gildis - the Magian Protector of Beldor - and Althar, famed for her fighting skills...Yet mortal danger follows close on their heels. Already, they are being stalked by agents and allies of the Skythian Empire, all commanded to seize the Wand, even if they must kill the bearer and his companions to get it.
The Wand...The story is launched. Danger proceeds apace. But know: There is no guarantee they will survive.
