"Clutching Estrada, the vampire hauled him up through the jagged glass. His feet were off the ground. In a breath, he'd be gone. Michael sprung, and clinging to Estrada's back, he pulled at the curved talons embedded beneath his clavicle. Though his hands were flayed by the vampire's claws, still he pulled and pulled. Estrada's bones snapped. And then they were both free falling.
