Cambria is a highly powered Tratchar, and her task is to take care of the Sentinels, in the same way her ancestors did, many millenniums before. She is good at her job and proud of what she does. She is also deadly as she is beautiful.
Anders isn't one of the elite among the Guardians of the Empire, but he is happy to be numbered among them. To him, it is a point of pride. For, although he is one of the younger dragon shifters, he figures he has lots of time to develop.
All thoughts of his status, however, disappear into the mist when he sees a pretty young Elven female create a tree out of a seed she holds cupped in her hands. He watches in awe, as the small tree forms, and then loses all that he is to her as their eyes meet, for she is his life mate, and he can tell she is as aware of what he is to her as he is to her.
