The first book in a heart-stopping and suspenseful YA trilogy from award-winning author James Bradley.

It's 2027 and the human race is dying. Plants, animals and humans have been infected by spores from space and become part of a vast alien intelligence.

When 16-year-old Callie discovers her little sister Gracie has been infected, she flees with Gracie to the Zone to avoid termination by the ruthless officers of Quarantine. What Callie finds in the Zone will alter her irrevocably, and send her on a journey to the stars and beyond.

    Comments about The Silent Invasion:

Was so good to find an apocalypse young adult type book set in Australia. So many are always set in America but it was refreshing to have one about our own backyard. The story was interesting and engaging, I was totally bummed to find out this had just been released and I'd have to wait for the next book.

"... While The Silent Invasion is fundamentally a thriller with a page-turning plot, it's also a measured, thoughtful exploration of survival in a landscape at once recognisable and unknown. With its timeless themes of identity, connection and love, this is a gripping read for teens and adults alike." 4 Stars, Books+Publishing
