The Nesting

A young woman becomes a nanny for two young girls after their mother dies, but soon suspects that things in their remote house aren't all that they appear in this chilling Gothic thriller.

Lexi impulsively applies to be a nanny to two young girls as the job seems like the answer to all of her problems. She's recently lost her boyfriend and her job, and the nanny position requires her to move to Norway, where architect Tom Faraday is building a high-concept, environmentally friendly home. The young sisters recently lost their mother, Aurelia, to suicide, and Lexi quickly becomes protective of them.

But soon she feels a pervasive sense of creepiness in the remote house nestled in the forests along the fjord. When Aurelia's diary appears in her room one day, Lexi can't help but read it and discovers secrets of violence and betrayal. As disturbing and stranger things happen in and around the home--mysterious wet footsteps inside the house, the ghostly figure of the Sad Lady--Lexi begins to suspect that Aurelia was murdered and that she and the children are at risk.
