The Musical Gift is created for everyone.

This is a piano and music theory course focusing on how to think about music.

Just by playing through a series of short piano lessons, often just a single page, it will help you tap into natural abilities we all share. The course is organized in a logical sequence and designed to build progressively, starting with a brief first chapter that can quickly show anyone how to read musical notation.

This unique system operates on the principle that the patterns existing in music are everywhere around us in nature and also exist deeply in our minds. The emphasis here is on playing at the piano keyboard, an activity which will steadily develop these neural pathways naturally at a relaxed pace. The goal of this course is to help any individual progress organically along their own musical journey and lead them step by step to full comprehension and understanding of the musical world using the distinct language of musicians. And then possess the skills to move onward towards their full potential, all while exploring the infinite wonder of playing, enjoying, and listening to music. These skills are also quite valuable to assist anyone composing their own music.

All of this is achieved simply by playing one page at a time using the piano keyboard as the ideal vehicle to understand our musical universe. This understanding will work for any music and can be applied to all instruments. Presented to you here in this book is knowledge that belongs to every one of us and can be used by all players regardless of their age, level, or choice of musical style.

Volume one is a fundamental piano course and music theory course combined in a single book and is based on the experience of many years teaching music and observing how students actually learn in the formal setting of piano lessons. After completing this first volume you should be equipped with basic piano skills and the musical understanding required for most first year college music classes.
