When an elderly farmer is killed and his property ransacked, the evidence points in only one direction—until a former US soldier, Mason Brady, walks into the local station and sets the investigation on a startling new path. What neither Cass nor Brady realize is the extent to which their actions will cause both cases to overlap and see them become each other’s greatest threat.
