Nathaniel E. Troupe is a Pittsburgh-based fantasy author best known for his book The Marksmen Guard. He grew up in York, Pennsylvania, balancing a passion for fantasy with athletics during his youth. Troupe attended Robert Morris University, where he played hockey and first connected with the Pittsburgh region, now his long-term home with his wife Kristen. After graduating, he began working for the Pennsylvania State Senate—an experience he credits for providing plenty of real-world intrigue that informs his storytelling.
Nathaniel began writing seriously during the pandemic, encouraged by his wife to pursue his love for fantasy literature. His debut novel, The Marksmen Guard, was published in June 2022. His background, love of fantasy, and professional experiences in government all converge to give his work unique depth and perspective.
