Every day, every one of us is a leader in some way - we just don't necessarily know it. Leadership is about inspiring change and movement, whether on an individual level - a person's attitude, behaviour, emotions or habits - or an organizational level - culture, goals, vision or strategy. By changing the way you approach the concept of leadership, The Everyday Leader will help you recognise and embrace your natural leadership qualities, so that you can be more motivated and empowered in the workplace and at home.

The Everyday Leader tackles the main challenges that leaders face at some point in their career: leading teams; attaining buy-in from stakeholders; leading through artificial intelligence; whistleblowing; and leading from a distance. But the book also addresses the leadership issues that occur in day-to-day life: listening and empathising; making change attractive and accessible; influencing and persuading; and making the right decision through information overload.

Providing advice and tools for those looking to polish their existing leadership skills or anyone who wants to take the next step in their career, The Everyday Leader also recognises that leadership doesn't stop once you clock off - these are lessons you can and should take home with you.

Industry Reviews
As a professional coach that has been fortunate to have worked with some very successful teams at the highest levels, I have had the word leadership re-defined for me on numerous occasions. The Everyday Leader is an excellent read that hits the mark on so many levels; it paints a clear picture on the importance of leadership in the 21st century, it provides real-world examples of ordinary people performing extraordinary tasks, and it is a commonsense example of how doing it right on a daily basis sets you up for success. I am in the leadership business and, at the end of the day, I believe people want to be led. The Everyday Leader is an authentic look at how living your life in accordance with a strong value system and having the courage to act can help you identify situations (however big or small) that provide leadership opportunities. -- Jay Woodcroft, Professional Hockey Coach

The book strikes the balance between rigour and relevance perfectly. It is packed with practical wisdom: great examples that are based on theories that don't get in the way of the practical insights. -- Dr Irene Garnelo-Gomez, Lecturer in Reputation and Sustainability at the University of Reading
As a talent leader within a global organization, it is very helpful to find books like this one in the universe of literature that exists around leadership. The advice within the book provides rich and deep content while keeping the chapters short and to the point. As a reader, I felt very engaged by the relevant stories and examples provided. The book serves as a great reminder that most of us do business in a globalized world and, for me, added cross-cultural perspectives that many of us talk about in business conversations but find hard to quantify in our day to day practices. A solid read, highly recommended. -- Nick Bizic, Director of Global Career Management, American Bureau of Shipping
The Everyday Leader features excellent coverage on vision and values. More than ever, change is an important element, and how it is embedded into an organization is critical. -- Ellis Jacob, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cineplex Inc.
