The Door Below Us: A Romantic Descent into the Unknown follows Dr. Nora Voss and Callum Reyes, two coworkers sent into a remote cave system in Montenegro to search for endangered species and evidence of undiscovered life.

Nora trusts maps, evidence, and control. Callum trusts instinct, movement, and the quiet warnings hidden in dangerous places. They are not dating. They barely agree on anything. But when their expedition goes wrong and the passage behind them collapses, professional tension becomes something far more personal.

Trapped deep underground with failing equipment and no clear route back, Nora and Callum are forced into the unmapped lower reaches of the cave. What begins as a scientific mission soon becomes something impossible. Strange creatures move in the dark. Ancient carvings warn of a path beneath the mountain. A massive hidden chamber waits below. And at the far end stands a black door unlike anything human hands should have made.
