David Trumper is one of Shropshire's best known historians. About the Author

David Trumper was born in Shrewsbury and grew up in the town. He taught at several schools in Shropshire before his retirement in 2000. David has always had an interest in local history and photography, and has collected and photographed over 20,000 views of Shrewsbury and Shropshire, dating from 1842 up until the present day. He has had 22 books published, as well as his work for local papers and magazines. David is well known in Shropshire's historical circles, leading talks and historical walks in the area throughout the year.

He has been married to his wife Wendy for over 40 years, and has a daughter and two grandchildren.
