Surviving Prophesy

Born blind into a poor crofter's family who consider her a burden, Megan has no choice but to find her own path despite her disability. Discovering she has wizard ability and an aptitude for healing gives her new options. Working at a rural healer hall that serves the local farming community, she is shocked when a rare Immortal appears for treatment. Realising no one else can tell what he is, she agrees to keep his secret, aware Immortals have many jealous enemies. When Zacharias returns, weeks later, he unexpectedly asks to take her out. He accompanies her on an otherwise dull daytrip collecting herbs far from the hall's walls and proves to be surprisingly good company. Their relaxed happy moods are shattered on the way home however, when Megan senses the approach of a massive swarm of deadly beetles. Evading them, they then discover both their homes overrun. They have no option but to flee. Unsure of his true motives, but aware she cannot travel alone they join forces. Unknowingly, their pleasant picnic has set prophesy in motion and a powerful enemy has noticed. It has been foretold that Zacharias's wife will bring about the downfall of the powerful dictator, Lord Wizard Darcourt and any woman seen in Zacharias's company becomes a target. Megan and Zacharias are confronted with many unexpected attacks on their travels, however, they gather friends on the way too. Uncovering a plot to destroy the future of the Immortal race, Megan realises her disability has a purpose she could never have imagined. Always looking over their shoulders for danger, they come to realise that to find peace the prophesy must be fulfilled.
