Starcharter: Protostar is Evan Chaika's first entry into a series of fantasy novels following the journeys and tribulations of several influential characters in the fantasy universe known as Starscape. A collection of many plot lines, Starcharter follows eight individuals varying from a wayward king, to the prince of an underground kingdom, to a race of amphibian warmongers.

The Starscape is in turmoil as many of its worlds are rapidly becoming barren for reasons that are uncertain to its inhabitants.
