This is a small Catholic Cemetery located west of Bellanaleck in Cleenish Parish, County Fermanagh in Northern Ireland. We surveyed it in 2023 and this book contains maps, color plates of the church and cemetery. We have provided a transcription of all of the inscriptions on the tombstones. The oldest recorded date is from 1837, There is a complete index of all people mentioned on the tombstones and each name is keyed to its location on the maps and the transcriptions. Some of the stones bear witness to the political strife in Ireland from 1916 to 1922, and then during the "Troubles." 142 pages.

Industry Reviews

"Dr. Elliott's painstaking work on cemeteries provides exceptional detail and comprehensive coverage. His transcripts, database, photographs, maps and descriptions allow researchers the opportunity to carry out sophisticated analysis on everything from specific genealogies to the history of memorialization and rituals around death."

Brian Donovan, Ph.D., Findmypast (Ireland) Ltd.

"Once again David R. Elliott has done superb work and produced an exemplary record of another graveyard. Everyone involved in Irish genealogy owes him a deep debt of gratitude."

John Grenham, IrishAncestors, Dublin.

"These indexes serve as an invaluable source for amateur and professional genealogists alike. The information contained in the volumes of gravestone inscriptions close a knowledge gap in the field of genealogy for County Fermanagh and beyond. The indexes are a testament to the meticulous care, effort and dedication of David and Nancy Elliott who spent many years researching and producing these resources with great precision and painstaking attention to detail. As a Heritage Services Manager with Libraries NI, I used them frequently for genealogical inquiries as they greatly expanded the range of genealogical resources we could offer our users."

Margaret Kane, retired Heritage Services Manager, Enniskillen Library.
