In the rugged peaks of the Carpathians, the storm season brings more than just rain—it brings absolute devastation. Hail dragons rise from the dark depths of glacial lakes, and the only force standing between the realm and total ruin is Vladislav—the last Solomonar. Clad in rough leather, his body scarred by the ice of a devastating magic, he is a brutal force feared by all. Yet every battle in the sky tears him apart: he returns to his sanctuary with burning fevers, deathly cold scars, and a violent, primal nature that slowly strips away his humanity.
Ilinca's dynasty owes its wealth and high standing at the King's court to a blood pact forged generations ago. The price? Her. Torn from her comfortable life and the future she planned, Ilinca is sent to a brutal, minimalist cave high in the mountains. Her hidden mission, dictated by a desperate King who fears the collapse of his kingdom? To tend to the Solomonar after his battles with the sky—and to ensure the continuation of the only bloodline capable of taming the dragons.
Isolated in the mountain's freezing wilderness, the tension between them becomes unbearable. Ilinca hates him for her stolen freedom, refusing to be a mere pawn in her family's game. Vladislav fiercely rejects her, viewing her presence as a deadly distraction from the fragile rituals keeping him sane.
But on nights when the sky shatters and he edges closer to becoming the very creature he fights, only Ilinca can douse the fire burning in his chest... with raw milk, warm touch, and a care he has never known. In the cold isolation, a dangerous dependency blossoms, and when their passion escapes control, the hail strikes to the violent rhythm of their emotions—and the battle for the skies becomes deeply personal.
