SOCS- Saving Our Communities Souls is an exciting story about how a family works together to turn a hard situation into a movement—Saving Our Community's Souls. Alli and her family work as a team to share the love of God. Alli's classmates make her feel bad when she is called on in class to read out loud. She is afraid to read because she is not good at it. A few students in the class laugh at her, and she becomes devastated. Some students feel it is OK to make fun of other people. Once she is home, she talks through the situation with her family. Vinnie, her older brother, seeks wisdom from God, who reveals a great way to help Alli share love amid heartache. Using their clothesline with some mismatched socks, Vinnie inspires Alli to see that we are all like mismatched pairs of socks. Life is not perfect. We all come across holes and don't match. With mismatched socks and chocolate chip cookies to share, Alli changes the school. Together, Alli and her family join in the new community movement to share love.
