About the Author

Ira Levin is the author of Rosemary's Baby, The Boys from Brazil, The Stepford Wives, and other bestsellers, as well as Broadway's longest-running thriller, Deathtrap. He has won two Edgar Awards and the Bram Stoker Award from the Horror Writers Association. He died in 2007.

Mr. Levin has in Sliver created the apartment dweller's worst nightmare. As always, his characters have a texture and a reality that's almost eerie, and the narrative is as stripped-down and efficient as an automatic weapon.
