Friendly, genuine and humble away from the footy field - but a human wrecking ball on it - Sam Burgess has quickly established himself as one of the best and brightest stars in Rugby League. A precocious talent, the young Yorkshireman earned his first call-up to the Great Britain side at the age of 18.

Now, it is the Rabbitohs faithful who celebrate Sam's immense talent and that of his three brothers - Luke, Thomas and George - all of whom ply their trade at Redfern in South Sydney, the Burgess clan have found a new home and a second family on the far side of the world. But there is more to Sam's story than meets the eye.

At its heart, this is the shared story of every young player who has laced up his boots and dreamed of greater things; of every devoted family who has endured sacrifice to create opportunity for their own. It is the tale of tragedy and triumph in the face of adversity and a remarkable journey that has only just begun.
