Katie Rawlings is living the dream. She is a Miami Beach lifeguard and she loves what she does. The beach, the sand, the sunshine-it's been her dream since she was a kid. Since leaving the world of corporate accounting two years ago to become a Miami Beach Lifeguard, she has never looked back. On top of having her dream job she is also dating the man of her dreams, Mitch Pine. She and Mitch have just celebrated one whole year together and the future looks bright. But the universe is about to throw a wrench in those plans. On a routine day at work Katie saves a surfer from drowning. His name is Barry Daniels, and Katie can't help but feel an instant attraction to him. He is sexy, gorgeous, spiritual, and warm. He and Katie form a friendship, but Barry makes it clear he has other things on his mind instantly. Katie finds herself being torn between her love and loyalty to Mitch and her growing attraction to Barry. Mitch senses something is wrong and begins to probe deeper into who Barry Daniels really is.
