Understand the science of forces and flight by making art

Is gravity weighing you down? Find out how to rise above it with this book - it will guide you to work like a scientist: testing ideas, making investigations and doing experiments. But you'll also be an artist, designing different flying models to overcome the air's resistance. Feel the natural forces that act on objects and take to the skies!

Science Makes Art skilfully blends science theory with fun art projects to encourage learning and creativity. It's the perfect series to introduce key science principles and for cross-curricular and topic based learning.

Using materials from around the home, the art projects include:

- Hot air balloon

- Gliders

- Paper aerofoils

- Paper planes

- Flying pterosaur
