Girl meets boy. Girl loses boy. Girl gets boy in the end. Done!

Of course, a life well lived, a life with purpose, an interesting life, is much, much messier than that with its ups and downs and ins and outs. Particularly, if you happen to be a sentient spacecraft with an extremely long life and early in that life, when you really haven't quite grown up, you meet two people: your partner and your best friend. And then they die.

Time passes. The worlds you love change, and the people you love and protect are born and grow old and eventually leave you behind. You remember every one of them while searching for the love of your life, lost across space and time, hoping to find him and get back what was missing. Along the way, you grow up ("Finally!" your big sister would say). But you still have to find him and sort everything out and learn some important truths and maybe figure out why you're special before it all could be completely and totally gone. Because you may be long lived but you're not immortal.

Saabrina: Xonel is a love story, a coming-of-age story, and a series finale that asks whether a Hollywood ending is only for mortals. Or, if you're patient enough and stubborn enough and love hard enough, time and hard work will give you what you deserve.
