A slave in a tomb of dragon bones.
A false god of madness poised to break free.
A gift of light the seven Realms cannot afford to lose.
A slave in the brutal Daegonur Empire, he survives by keeping his head down and his fury buried. Then a one-eyed old sorcerer kidnaps him from captivity and tells him he may be the only person alive who can save the seven Realms from an eternity of death and madness. But Merik doesn't want to save the world. He wants to be free, but he is soon to discover that freedom looks nothing like what he imagined.
Dragged into a war between an ancient evil and the fragile light opposing it, Merik is hunted by a wolf-cowled warlord who slaughters for sport, courted by a masked woman who offers him godhood, and guided by a wandering spirit who offers him something far more dangerous than the ability to sunder the Realms: trust. Every power in the seven Realms wants to use him, and the darkest temptation isn't chains. It's the chance to be the one who holds them.
Realm Strider is an epic fantasy about the difference between being unchained and being truly free. A story of sacrifice, trust, genuine love, and the war every person must fight inside themselves before they can be free.
