Read Write Inc Fresh Start

This 2024 edition of Read Write Inc. Fresh Start rescues students aged 9 and above who are reading below age-related expectations, using a phonics-based approach. It enables them to become confident, fluent readers, who can access the wider curriculum. This pack includes all resources needed for the 2024 Fresh Start programme, including ten copies of each Module. This pack contains a New Edition of the Teacher Handbook with assessment guidance and lesson plans, as well as the resources needed to teach the Speed Sounds (phonics) lessons, including all cards and posters. Sounds and graphemes from phonics lessons are reinforced through further practice in the Modules. Each Module contains an engaging, age-appropriate story or non-fiction text, with the series including range of diverse characters and topics with broad appeal. Each Module contains step-by-step comprehension and writing activities to build skills and confidence. This edition includes a new sentence-focused activity to help students understand the structure of a sentence.
