Ranger's Calling

If you love Ranger's Apprentice, The Lord of the Rings, Dragonlance, and Chronicles of Narnia, you'll be captivated by this epic tale of courage, sacrifice, and faith in the darkest hour.

The wall was supposed to hold forever.
After fighting the fierce eshkin raiders in Wynchell, Ranger Galieb Half-elfin and his new griffin familiar, Rafnir, answer a call to the mountain fortress on the edge of the wilderness. For centuries, the Black Towers of Swartmael have guarded the kingdom of Lageheim against all threats from the north. But when Galieb scouts an army that stretches beyond counting, he realizes no wall can stand against what's coming. Eshkin warriors. Lumbering giants. Blue wizards wielding ancient magic. Terror birds and other fell beasts. And leading them all, a power that even the mighty dragon Shethar once knew and feared.
But the greatest enemy was already inside.
As Galieb and the knight Sir Erik Blackmane rally the defenders, they discover that the mysterious forsaken god is ready to reveal himself in a new terrifying form, ready to claim the land he once ruled. His followers have infiltrated every level of Lageheim's society, even corrupting sworn knights into treason. When King Reinhart III makes his final stand atop the dragon Shethar, the cost of heroism will be measured in the fall of the mighty.
