Durante su viaje se toparan con peligrosas criaturas, como un enorme saurio, un condor y un arbusto feroz, y haran nuevos amigos que se uniran a su expedicion. El grupo, muy variopinto, tendra que aunar todo su ingenio para ponerse a cubierto del temible cometa que se acerca al Valle de los Mumin.

When Moomintroll learns that a comet will be passing by, he and his friend Sniff travel to the Observatory on the Lonely Mountains to consult the Professors.
