Anton is a solitary boy with a prodigious imagination and talent for drawing and getting himself into trouble. One day in the summer holidays he experiments with a computer drawing program. When his bothersome sister, Sascha, intervenes the children find themselves inside Anton's monitor, in United Microworlds where they meet Compic, the humanoid creature Anton had just drawn to amuse Sascha. The three are drawn into an amazing and at times alarming world inhabited by computer bug-people and face a challenge when Compic is classified as a dangerous virus - with no data, and faces permanent deletion. Together they must use their imagination, ingenuity and Anton's incredibly enhanced drawing skills to journey to the computer world's capital to ask for a pardon for Compic. But just when the journey was becoming a fun-filled adventure, it turns deadly serious when they find themselves in the middle of a military coup - and a full scale alien bug invasion led by the creepy General Beetle.Superbly illustrated throughout by Elena's fabulous black and white drawings, this will be a very special chapter book for 8-10 year olds.
