It's only when she meets Alice, who needs safe passage from Austin to Houston, that Jezebel is forced to think beyond the borders of her hometown and her own simple existence. Jezebel and Alice couldn't be more mismatched travelling companions and the road to Houston is fraught with danger, herds of bestial mutants, brutal bandits and agents sent from Houston to hang Jezebel. How will they survive the violence and tragedy forced upon them? And will Jezebel still be able to sleep at night knowing that, above all, her actions are truly righteous?
