I'm a George RR Martin devotee so it's hard to impress me with knights and horses and swords. I devoured A.M. Rycroft's Corruption of Honor (Pt. 1). Rycroft tosses her reader into conflict from the beginning and within pages her characters are running for their lives. What's more, big time powerful female knights (yay!) that would give Brienne of Tarth a good workout. [...]

AM does a great job of showing that even on their last leg, the will to survive is powerful and if you get into good battle scenes like I do- physically exhausting. I challenge you to start reading this and to put it down. But I also warn you, dust off that shield and sharpen your blade! You're going to want in! [...]
