Alex Lifeson, Geddy Lee, and Neil Peart performed together for the first time to an audience of 11,000 people in 1974. Forty years later, their last tour sold over 442,000 tickets. This is the story of everything in between. This is the story of Rush.

Fondly known as the Holy Triumvirate, Rush is one of the top bands to shine through rock-and-roll history. Wandering the Face of the Earth covers Rush’s storied touring career, from their humble beginnings as a Toronto-area bar band playing middle school gymnasiums to their rise as one of the world’s most sought-after live acts, selling out massive arenas around the globe. This book includes every setlist, every opening act, and every noteworthy moment meticulously researched and vetted by the band themselves. Along with spectacular, never-before-seen imagery, this is THE must-have tour compendium for Rush fans.

About the Author

Skip Daly has been an expert on the band Rush for over thirty years. He became a Rush fan in high school, and his first Rush concert was on May 5, 1990 (the Presto tour) at the Capital Centre in Largo, MD. He has since attended twenty-five additional Rush shows-at least one gig per subsequent tour. Skip lives in Gaithersburg, MD with his wife and four children. Eric Hansen was first introduced to the band Rush after receiving a cassette tape of the albums Permanent Waves and Moving Pictures, and eventually became a true fanatic following the release of Rush's Hold Your Fire. In 1998, Eric started the popular Power Windows Rush fansite at 2112.net. He is also known for his contributions to the documentary Rush: Beyond The Lighted Stage. Eric lives in Centennial, CO with his wife and two daughters. Richard Bienstock is a senior editor with Guitar World magazine and executive editor of Guitar Aficionado magazine. He is also a musician and journalist whose writing has appeared in numerous U.S. and international publications. He lives in New York City.

Les Claypool is a musician, singer, songwriter, producer, author, director, actor, and fisherman. He is best known as the founder, lead singer, bassist and primary songwriter of the rock band Primus, as well as the composer and performer of the theme songs for Robot Chicken and South Park. Stewart Copeland has spent three decades in the forefront of contemporary music as a rock star, acclaimed film score writer, and composer in the disparate worlds of opera, ballet, world music and chamber music. In 1977, Stewart formed The Police, a band that became a defining force in rock music. He spent twenty years as a successful film and TV composer, working for the likes of Francis Ford Coppola on Rumblefish and Oliver Stone on Wall Street. Through it all, a sense of humor and appreciation for his utterly unique career has shone through as he has enjoyed working in a remarkable array of genres. Howard Ungerleider's design techniques are some of the most unique and unusually progressive throughout the world today. His eclectic career has seen him work closely with such talents as Rush, Def Leppard, Rod Stewart, Van Halen, and Queensryche as well as many other esteemed artists and clients alike. His 40 years of experience in all facets of the entertainment world can be seen throughout all of the outstanding work done by his company Production Design International.
