Sorrow & Delight

Sorrow has wandered the desert her whole young life, when she finds and is found by a clan willing to take her in, first with a gift of water. In their care, she discovers she is a Focus, a wizard capable of absorbing the energy of other wizards and directing it. Taken formally into this clan of wizards and renamed Delight, all should have been well until the ill-fated day she falls for a young wizard of the clan, and he with her. Forbidden to be together, when Satakarni says he will leave the clan to be with her, she flees, knowing that the only way he can perfect his wizardry and achieve his full destiny is to remain with his clan. Once more a wanderer, but now with the gift of wizardry at her disposal, once more named Sorrow, she wanders, and discovers that a great evil threatens not only her own choices and life, but the lives of every single person she has touched in all her years of wandering. An evil she can defeat, if she will just find the courage to finally take a stand.
