A wild, boisterous beginning to M. T. Anderson's Pals in Peril series.

What sort of madman would unleash an army of stilt-walking, laser-beaming, thoroughly angry whales upon the world? Who cares! All that matters is that this dastardly plan be foiled. Lucky for Lily Gefelty, her two best friends are the stars of their own middle-grade series of novels: Jasper Dash (better known as the Boy Technonaut) and Katie Mulligan (beloved by millions as the heroine of the Horror Hollow series). It's going to take all their smarts to stop this insane, inane plot from succeeding.

This riotous and wonderfully funny tale marks the beginning of an equally riotous and wonderfully funny series from award-winning author M. T. Anderson. Whales on Stilts is a smart, sassy, and self-aware comedy that will have readers clamoring for more.

Industry Reviews
*"Armed with an array of adjectives, non-sequitors, bizarre asides, irrelevant footnotes, and running gags, Anderson sends up decades of children’s book series, and creates a hysterical tale of his own."
