The second book in the fabulous Rescue Princesses series finds the Princesses staying on the tropical island of Ampali for the summer. They are to attend the Royal Regatta in a few days' time and are busy getting ready for all the festivities. Clarabel is sent out to collect shells to decorate the palace and discovers a badly wounded dolphin. He guides her to a beautiful pearl, and seems to be able to talk to her through the jewel. In staging a daring rescue, the Princesses need all their strength and bravery, and discover ancient treasure along the way!

About the Author

Paula began inventing stories and writing them down as a child, including one about a magical land inhabited by talking bookworms. After gaining an English degree, she became a primary school teacher. She is also married with two children. She loves inspiring children's imaginations and believes that day-dreaming can be a really good use of your time (although she hasn't actually said that during a lesson). Over the years, she's shared many different authors' books with children, and now can't wait to share her own.
