About the Author

Archaeologist and anthropologist Steven Erikson's debut fantasy novel, Gardens of the Moon, was shortlisted for the World Fantasy Award and introduced readers to his epic, ten-book 'The Malazan Book of the Fallen' sequence. He followed this 'masterwork of the imagination' with Forge of Darkness - the first book in a new trilogy which takes readers back to the origins of the Malazan world.
