This is a new revision of a fascinating collection of essays speculating in future technological and scientific possibilities by the master of science and science fiction.
Industry Reviews
Clarke here has revisited some prophetic essays he wrote between 1959-61, commenting on what he foresaw and where he was wrong. It makes fascinating reading to see how prescient he was. Where he erred it was because he was not fantastical enough. He anticipated human cloning, nuclear technology and the triumph of capitalism. His additions to these essays for the next 50 years are equally astounding. (Kirkus UK)
