What does it mean to be alive now?

How should we best spend our days?

Book of Hours is a stunning timepiece crafted by some of Australia's foremost writers and artists.

It is a meditation on the light and dark of a single day and a provocation on the urgencies of our times. How much time do we have left? And how is our current moment connected to the past and future?

Co-edited by Emily Floyd, Chloe Hooper and Nam Le, this book-as-object features contributions from writers Anna Krien, Sarah Holland-Batt, S Shakthidharan and Maria Tumarkin, alongside artists Vincent Namatjira OAM, Clare Britton, Hiromi Tango, Tjungkara Ken, Brook Andrew and Ramesh Mario Nithiyendran.

By turns sacred, secular, contemplative, profane, subversive and personal, Book of Hours marks this Australian era for those now and in the future.
