Three classic science fiction stories presented in one volume. In "Out Of The Silent Planet" Dr Ransom is kidnapped by Weston, an evil genius. In "Perelandra" Ransom is sent to challenge Weston's influence and in the final volume, "That Hideous Strength", he returns to earth.

This science-fiction trilogy was written by the celebrated theologian and religious writer who also invented Narnia. The stories are a preposterous mish-mash of medieval religious scholarship, half-baked space travel, wild and sometimes rather unsettling graphic imagination, philology, preachy bias (including some rank old sexism), eccentric Englishness and obvious religious allegory.
