Forever Xmas is an extraordinary hotel in which Christmas is celebrated all year round, for the benefit of people who, for reasons of family separation or work, cannot be together on 25 December. The Shepherd family happen upon it in the middle of August when their car breaks down. Also staying are a party of teenage Japanese girls, a divorced father and his daughter, and a father and son. Amidst the madness the police are looking for an escaped prisoner, and a health and safety inspector, appropriately named Mr Angel, wants to close the hotel down.
