Since young children's brains crave repetition, rhythm, and rhyme to master language and music, I find Rodo's books a perfect match for young children. - Kathy Rowe, early childhood music specialist at Music Together in Phoenix (and mother of two).
Polly and the Peanut Pull by Rodo Sofranac is an interesting storybook for children that highlights positive thinking. Peaputts are having fun and playing on a Sunday. Polly and her friends are dancing around what they think is a tree. As they look closer, they think it's a peanut stem. They share the news with everyone. Mayor Goober tells Polly to pull it out if it's a Peanut, but he thinks Polly and her friends are too small to help. The Peaputts know that it's difficult to do it. They do not want to give up. Will Polly and her friends succeed in pulling it out?
The story has a very good message and concept. The importance of teamwork, perseverance, having confidence in one's own ability, and many other positive themes are conveyed through the story. It also teaches young readers to treat each other with love and respect. The illustrations are bright and colorful and breathe life into the scenes and the characters. The book will make a good bedtime storybook and it can also be used for read aloud sessions in classrooms and school libraries.
Books with a moral, concept, idea or message make perfect reading material for kids to teach them something good through story-telling. All the characters are adorable and the author has written the story in rhymes, making it appealing and entertaining. The book is educational and introduces young readers to a lot of new and positive concepts.

The boys LOVE your book!
I am not a good reviewer but I do know that the repetitions at the end of each event are so much fun for kids. They will internalize that kind of rhyme quickly and it shares such a good message.
It is absolutely wonderful!!! Roger read it and actually laughed out loud at parts. It is truly an awesome book. Very nicely written, illustrated and it feels good in the hands. Very nicely done!
This book is AMAZING. After reading this book to my 2 children I sat back and thought this book also pertains to adults. A must have for sure.
If you have young children in your life who love to read or be read to, don't miss this delightful book. I'm looking forward to hearing Rodo Sofranac read it at this event. I've given copies to several children, and they all love it and want to hear it over and over.
Rodo was AMAZING with our youth today! They loved learning about Polly and working together. They had so many questions for Rodo which was a great sign of how much they loved the session with him!!!
