Cassie and Lina are getting ready for their newest pet sitting adventure and their very first radio interview. Trixie the parrot loves everything piratey and when the girls are given pirate costumes to dress up in, Gusâ dreams are coming true. Wearing his pirate eye patch, heâs determined to be a fierce and fearless pirate captain.
But Trixie the parrot isnât interested in becoming Gusâ first mate. She ignores his orders, squawks âClimb the rigging!â, and nibbles on peopleâs ears â" making them mysteriously talk like a pirate until someone elseâs ear is nibbled next! First itâs Gus, then Hugo, thenâ¦
As Cassie and Linaâs interview quickly approaches, the girls begin to panic. Between being distracted by Trixie and Gus, and trying to solve the mystery of why people keep talking like a pirate, the girls have barely had time to practice for the interview. And to make matters worse, Trixie has climbed up Cassieâs arm and nibbled on her ear too! âShiver me timbers!â says Cassie, as the girlsâ horror mounts.
How can they do the very important interview if Cassieâs talking like a pirate?
Timeâs running out. The girls need to find Trixie and get her to nibble someone elseâs ear before the interview begins. But Trixie has flown to the top of a netted frame and Gus doesnât want to climb the rigging to get her.
Will the girls be able to get Trixie down in time? Will Gus face his fears and climb the rigging to get her? Or will the reputation of the Barefoot Springs Pet Sitters walk the plank before the radio microphone is even turned on?
