On April 14^th, 1944, two major events occurred. The Indian National Army raised the flag of Free India for the first time in the liberated area in Manipur at Moirang Kangla.

Same day, a devastating blast at Bombay's Victoria Docks rains gold, destroys ships, and sends shockwaves through British India. This was the biggest explosion in the Eastern theater of World War 2 till dropping of the atomic bomb.
