Odyssey Tale of a Noble Voyage, is a sailing adventure interwoven with surrealism, and the spiritual depths of Mexico. The story starts in the Caribbean and maintains a link throughout the voyage from San Francisco through Mexico to Panama.

At its helm is Rod Pickthorne, a Black San Francisco sailor and journalist who gets himself volunteered as the representative of the San Sebastian Islands assisting the delivery the Odyssey, a 125-foot turtle schooner that is loved by the islanders. The voyage begins in San Francisco, where Rod presents us with progressive jazz clubs and the last of the Beatniks of North Beach. The voyage has is ups and downs as the presence of his White inexperienced crew who are completely unprepared for the only experienced sailor aboard being a Black man.

When the Odyssey reaches Mexico, the novel is drawn into the mystical world of La Santa Muerte. Odyssey is a sailing voyage that offers the reader cultural, philosophical and mystical encounters through the challenges met at each port.
