Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia.

A young woman is murdered, her throat brutally but skilfully cut. The killer posts a chilling message: he is Fenrir, the wolf from Norse mythology and, 'where there are sheep, the wolves are never far away.'

A second murder follows. The public are scared, politicians nervous - has Fenrir killed again?

Lieutenant Ramaz Donadze investigates. A detective more comfortable operating in the shadows, his case takes a high profile. Success could restore his stalled career, failure would be disastrous.

Time is limited, the pressure intense and Donadze is instructed to use unconventional means - a deliberately vague term - to solve his case. His methods may be effective, but will they strain professional and political relationships beyond repair?
