The narrative was well developed and led to a satisfying ending.The plot held my attention. The characters have unusual personalities, but are believable. The dialogue reveals, reflects, and reinforces the character of each speaker.presentation of time and place was very believable, very authentic, and contributed to the narrative.Sentence structure was varied. The writing was imaginative and creative, effective and clear. Themes were well developed and the author obviously put thought into them. There was a depth of narrative showing the author is a skillful writer. This is one of the best and creatively developed covers I have seen in a long time. It speaks volumes for the author in terms of effort. Overall, this is the seventh book in the series. I enjoyed it. I found a reference to the characters on their backgrounds and the other novels quite interesting. I thought that the author had done a lot of research on what it is like to be in a smaller community and how the criminal system within that community would work. I would recommend this book to anyone and I will read the remaining books in the series.
